Semiconductor Equipment Corporation (SEC) is a recognized leader in the design, manufacture, and distribution of standard and custom die-handling equipment and semiconductor dicing tape. Since 1975, SEC has installed thousands of production systems worldwide, supporting packaging and assembly operations for edge-emitting lasers, flip-chip devices, surface-mount technology, and high-reliability packages including ball grid arrays (BGAs), quad flat packs (QFPs), and multichip modules (MCMs).
From its earliest days, SEC has focused on developing custom prototype equipment and application-specific solutions to meet the evolving demands of the photonics and semiconductor industries. Close collaboration with leading technology innovators has established SEC’s reputation for delivering high-quality, purpose-built equipment tailored to exact process requirements.
Under the leadership of President Don Moore, SEC has played an active role in advancing microelectronics manufacturing technology. Mr. Moore has collaborated with industry innovators and contributed to published work documenting key developments in assembly, handling, and test. These contributions have appeared in respected industry publications including Circuits Assembly, U.S. Tech, and Optoelectronics World.
SEC’s standard product portfolio includes die bonders, die handling systems, rework platforms, test equipment, pick-and-place systems, wafer and die tape, and tape-mounting equipment. Each system is engineered with a focus on precision, reliability, and long-term manufacturing performance.
SEC is supported by a highly trained and experienced technical and service team that provides ongoing customer support, including training at SEC’s facility as well as installation and on-site training at customer locations.
Semiconductor Equipment Corporation is headquartered in a purpose-built, modern manufacturing facility in Moorpark, California, north of Los Angeles. The company’s staff includes seasoned professionals with deep expertise in semiconductor and electronic-components manufacturing, many of whom — including SEC’s officers — bring hands-on industry experience dating back to the earliest days of assembly, handling, and test.
The company is represented throughout the United States and internationally via an extensive network of sales/service representatives and distributors.
